Yes, I pretty much disappeared from Photography for a good 9 months.

There are several reasons why, and I wanted to share with those who actually follow me, what I have been up to.

First, my ministry at church had begun to suffer, and I felt like I was not pulling my weight for God's kingdom. That lead me to start back to playing my bass and acoustic guitar weekly on the praise team. This alone took many hours a week of just practicing. That started in February of 2024, and it took me a while to get my chops back. I feel like I have reached a point where I can do well every week now.

Secondly, my day job started to become extremely demanding and it was and still is wiping me out quite a bit from an energy perspective. As you know (I hope), family comes first, and I am the sole provider for my family. You may have heard me discuss this on other posts and videos.

Lastly, will all the craziness happening in the photography world with A.I., I felt like I need to walk away for a bit. I needed to rest and regroup from a wide open, fun filled life of photographing God's creation. Even fun can wear a person out!

So, where does that leave me now? I made the decision on Saturday to start working some photography and YouTube reviews back into my schedule. I am not sure exactly what it will look like right now, but I feel like I can achieve a successful balance.
